This is a very special picture and I still remember the cold December morning in Munnar. We reached Munnar at 03:30 AM and took Auto to the main city. Once in City we started the search for a hotel and found out that there's not a single hotel with vacancy. so we tried to keep ourselves warm at the camp fires lit by the drivers and flower/vegetable vendors who start early in the morning.

We woke up almost all the hotel security guards on a cold winter morning and irritated them so much that everyone of them was cursing us...Finally one old wise man offered us a deal...room for keeping luggage and resting until 06:00 AM..we agreed...it was the smallest ever room I will ever see in any guest house.

So there we were on the first bus of morning to the top of the hill and trust me it was the best way to start the day with warm sunlight rays reaching us through the dense Tea planted hill tops..without doubt it was the best morning we spent during that trip.

I wish I had traveled in such small boat which is much better way of exploring the beauty of backwaters...
